Writers & Friends All Together in Kingston!

Authors, Musicians and Artists Join Supporters in Horizons’ Sold Out Benefit April 11th

Kingston Friends of Horizons are delighted to announce that tickets are now sold out for this year’s Writers & Friends at Kingston City Hall. It’s Horizons’ 14th annual fundraising gala in Kingston, and for those lucky enough to have tickets, it will be a memorable afternoon with outstanding authors Ian Brown, Linden MacIntyre, Erna Paris and Lawrence Scanlan and special musical guest Sarah Harmer.

Visual artists as well are contributing to Horizons Writers & Friends Silent Auction.  (See poster attached).  Oils by artists Su Sheedy and Sharon Thompson will join pieces by metal artist Maggie Hogan, glass artist Laura Donefer, potter Tim de Rose and two authenticated handcoloured 19c. W.H. Bartlett lithographs. A special offering is A Week in Provence in 2011, a stay in a hill top village 17th century stone house northwest of Avignon.  Other donations from community supporters include golf with maestro Glen Fast at Smuggler’s Den, a fall weekend in old Montreal, a guided birding expedition, tickets to the new COC opera “Nixon in China”. Also featured will be donations of gift certificates, services and select baskets of Central American art and craft.
