Horizons participates in national campaigns aimed at informing and involving greater numbers of Canadians in global issues. One such initiative is the Make Poverty History campaign. Launched in 2005, the campaign highlights the need to involve world leaders in demanding progress on poverty eradication. Horizons of Friendship believes that Canada has an obligation to work towards meeting and supporting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
