ORGANIZATION PROJECT DESCRIPTION

3. ACUDESBALIntercommunity Association of Communities Working Together for the Economic and Social Development of the Lower Lempa (ACUDESBAL)

Promotion of cultural training and awareness in the Lower Lempa region of El Salvador. Comprised largely of former refugees who were forced to flee the country during El Salvador’s brutal civil war and ex-combatants from both sides of the conflict, the communities in the Lower Lempa region face enormous challenges. This project, with a focus on youth, is designed to conserve and strengthen the cultural legacy and identity, and instill a sense of pride for these, among youth in 29 communities of the Lower Lempa region.

3. MAM

 

Melida Anaya Montes Women’s Movement (MAM)

Promoting dignified work among women domestic workers. The project will contribute to promoting the rights of domestic workers in El Salvador. Through public awareness campaigns, strengthening of leadership among domestic workers, and citizen engagement activities, efforts will be supported to change national legislation in El Salvador so that domestic workers will obtain legal recognition and corresponding social benefits.
 

3. ASPSSalvadoran Association for Health Promotion (ASPS)

Advocacy and Health Promotion in the Lower Lempa, Jiquilisco, El Salvador. The focus of this project is to promote civil society efforts to effectively monitor the state of health care, and press for improvements in this area in the department of Usulutan.

3. FEASIES

Federation of Independent Associations and Unions of El Salvador (FEASIES)

Labour Action for the Organization of Women Workers at a Local Level – Phase 1. The project will promote gender equality within the labour movement in El Salvador through training and the development of a women-led labour organization.
