Patricia oversees domestic and overseas work and reports to our Board of Directors. She has been with Horizons since 1990 and became Executive Director in 2000 after serving in various positions in the overseas program department. Originally from Chile, Patricia worked for international and national development organizations in Costa Rica and now calls Cobourg her home.

Sergio Quesada Mendoza, Mesoamerican Program Financial Assistant 905-372-5483ext. 23
Sergio provides financial support to the Mesoamerican program, gives training to partners on accounting systems and performs internal audits of partners’ finances. Sergio is from Costa Rica and worked there as an administrator and accountant with national NGOs.

Lisa is responsible for ensuring resources for Horizons’ programs through development and implementation of strategies with foundations and other major gift donors. A native of Cobourg, she returned to her hometown after several years studying and working in Toronto, Montreal and overseas. She has a background in Business Administration.

Linda Robertson, Administrative Assistant 905-372-5483ext. 10
She is the nerve centre of our organization and can generally route your query to the right person. Linda provides administrative support to each of our departments and processes donations in our fundraising system. Linda graduated as bilingual executive secretary at the Santa Maria La Antigua University in Panama. Linda joined Horizons full-time in 2005 after volunteering and working part-time for several years.

Clint oversees our finances and administrative functions. He has worked extensively in human resources and finance functions in the Toronto area. Clint recently moved to Keene from Toronto.

Karen Thompson, Thrift & Treasure Shop Supervisor 905-372-5483 ext. 25
Karen supervises our Thrift & Treasure Shop and organizes silent auctions held twice each year at Northumberland Mall. She formerly worked in real estate and has been a Cobourg resident for over 15 years.

José Luis Alvarez, Mesoamerican Program Advisor José Luis is a specialist in the field of design, monitoring and evaluation of projects. He completed his Masters and Doctorate studies in Latin American Thought at the National University of Costa Rica and has a long history working with international agencies and Latin American civil society organizations. José Luis serves as our regional advisor, providing ongoing support to our Southern partners. |
